Why Table

The base of the table is constructed by three, 12 mm thick folded aluminium sheets, joined by visible screws. The top plate is mounted to the frame by a special joint system from underneath - leaving the plate’s surface untouched without any trace.

The piece is mediating between the fragility of the minimal material use and the boldness of the thick laser cut aluminium plates. While the surfaces are brushed by hand the laser cut edges are referring to the industrial manufacturing process.

All edges and corners are carefully chamfered by hand. Each table is handcrafted and made to order in Germany.

The table was commissioned and developed with zialanche.
